Terms and Conditions
Please read. Confirmation of booking by payment of your deposit is deemed acceptance of these terms.

  1. Prices
    Prices are in GBP (British Pound) as advertised on our prices page. All published rates include VAT or local service charges at the current rate.
    All inclusive means that the price quoted includes accommodation, breakfast and evening dinner served at Bridge Hill House.  Plus all travel to and from attractions with BHHtours. The only entrance fees included are for National Trust and English Heritage managed places. 
  2. Deposits
    Deposits are payable at the time of booking, and are non refundable and cannot be transferred.  Payment of your deposit confirms your booking.
  3. Payment of the Balance
    The full balance must be received at least 60 days before the start of your vacation/tour at Bridge Hill House.  Should the start be within 60 days of booking, full payment must be made at the time of confirmation.  Where the balance owing on a vacation/tour has not been paid prior to the 60 day deadline then we reserve the right to cancel your tour and retain the deposit. 
  4. Cancellations
    Please let us know as soon as possible, in writing, (by post or email) if it becomes necessary for you to cancel.  We will acknowledge receipt of your cancellation so please ensure this is received. We will release the dates for re-booking as soon as possible.  However, tours are usually booked well in advance and if a cancellation is made late, there is less chance of us being able to re sell. We therefore have to charge for cancellations, the rate of which varies depending on the period of notice given.  If you cancel more than 60 days of your arrival we will not ask for payment, however, the deposit paid when booking will not be returned, (see note 2)  Refunds due to cancellations made during the periods given below would be as follows;Between 59 days and 31 days before the stay – 50% of the total cost will be refunded.

    Between 30 days and 15 days before the stay – 25% of the total cost will be refunded.
    14 days or less before the stay – there will be no refund.Refunds will only be made to the credit or debit card used to make the original payment. Any costs incurred due to exchange rates or transfer of money will be deducted from refunds.We strongly advise that you have travel insurance to fully cover you if you need to cancel. 
    We would only cancel your booking due to reasons beyond our control.  We would refund all monies paid by you. Our liability would not extend beyond this refund.
  5. Liability (Force Majeure)
    We would not be liable for the consequences of events or circumstances beyond our control, (for example; travel delays, weather conditions, strikes, mechanical failure etc)
  6. Dispute
    Any dispute will be subject to and governed by English Law and the jurisdiction of the English courts.
  7. Smoking
    In line with the change in UK legislation, we operate a strict NO SMOKING policy within all areas of the house, grounds and within vehicles.
  8. Children
    We can take children by arrangement.  There may be additional reasonable costs should we need to hire car seats and other equipment necessary to accommodate your child or children.
  9. Car parking
    If needed we do have off road private parking, but this is used at owner’s risk (cars and contents).
  10. Access, mobility of guests and special requirements.
    We provide an access statement for guests with mobility issues on the website.  Please read and refer any queries to us.  We do not have any disabled accommodation but we will do all that we can to accommodate less able visitors and those with special requirements.  If you have any special needs, including dietary needs please let us know so that we can discuss.
  11. Dogs, Cats and Other Pets
    Pets are not accepted.
  12. Statutory requirements
    Our business is subject to statutory controls, including those relating to fire, health, hygiene and safety. These must be strictly observed by guests.
  13. Insurance
    Guests are recommended to have and be responsible for insurance to cover cancellation, curtailment, and loss of baggage, personal effects and money. We do not provide insurance.
  14. Data Protection
    We respect the privacy of every individual who visits our website. The data collected about you will be used to firstly fulfil any service you might request e.g. to request a brochure, make a booking etc and secondly to improve our service. We will under no circumstances give your personal data to third parties. However, unless you specifically ask us not to (and this option is always given) we will use your data to send you further information about our business. Any e-mail sent to you will always provide you with the option to unsubscribe. This is in accordance with UK Data Protection Legislation. When making a booking, your credit card or billing account details are only retained for the purpose of handling that individual transaction, unless you ask us to keep these details for future purchases which you may make through us. In order to process a booking or inquiry, this will be destroyed on your departure. We adhere to the Data Protection Act 1998.
  15. Driving hours
    The number of hours driven over the tour period is limited to those allowed under the GB Domestic rules for PSV driving limits as published by the Vehicle and Operator Services Agency.
  16. Language
    All communications will be in English, both written and verbal. Should translations be required then there will be an additional cost.
  17. Luggage
    Please do not bring excess luggage, follow airline information on baggage limits. If you have anything that you need to bring that may be a problem please get in touch so that we can discuss.  Excess luggage that cannot be accommodated in our vehicle will be transferred separately at your cost.
