Welcome to our home Bridge Hill House, situated overlooking the Derwent valley, a stunning area of Derbyshire and a UNESCO world heritage site. We look forward to having you as our personal guests.
The house has been meticulously built by ourselves and provides luxury, quality and comfort. It is a quiet and peaceful environment and you will be able to relax.
Built of local stone the house has many traditional features on the outside. Inside there is space and light and living areas offer panoramic views. The grounds are historic, once forming a part of a large estate, stone structures and an ice house dating back to the 18th century remain. You are welcome to use the gardens, patios and BBQ areas and enjoy the views.
We are on the edge of the historic mill town of Belper. The popular North Mill museum and beautiful River Gardens with row boats are within walking distance, as are numerous friendly pubs, and our award winning high street is not much further. There are cafes, tea shops and a variety of interesting small shops. It is well worth a visit.
Our four guest rooms all have private en suite bathrooms. Three rooms offer either super king sized beds or twins and the fourth a king sized bed. There is under floor heating, plus radiators and a heat recovery ventilation system that continuously provides fresh air.
Our large and welcoming lounge offers a place to enjoy afternoon tea, sit and read or to get together in the evenings after dinner. We have a display of interesting local artifacts from old Belper nails to Royal Crown Derby china. Our books are mostly of local history and interest and suggestions for drives and walks. There is free wifi in the lounge and in guest rooms.
Breakfast and dinner are served in the large corner window of the family room where you can enjoy the panoramic views at their best.
